I have the same problem.  I'm feeling so discouraged right now!

I've heard from friends that some brands of the pill give you better skin.  You should probably try to find out with your dermatoligist what is it that causes your break outs, and then talk to your gynocologist about which pill you can take to help with your specific skin issue.   If nothing else, when you find out with your dermatoligist what is causeing your acne, you should let your gynocologist know that acne is a concern for you, tell her what causes it for you, and ask her to perscribe you something that won't exacerhate the problem!

Man I hope I have time to see a dermatologist soon!

I know i left the comment the other day about that treatmeant isolaz...well to my suprise my esthetician actually called me the day after and told me she had some great news for me..and that i was going to be treated to a FREE session of isolaz..the representative for the company was in and i was a candidate to do it..so obviously i was really really excited..The treatment was not as i expected...and all i was really hoping for it to do was to help clear up my acne scars. but it didn't really do that. i guess its really only to clear up active acne.  To be honest its a good treatment but not worth $300-$500 dollars..but if anyone does know a good somewhat inexpensive treatment to acne scars please let me know..i've been getting light chemical peels on my face every 2-3 weeks and also silk peels..if anyone knows something that works FAST please let me know..thank you!!

I have a 16 yr old son who had to go on acne treatments a couple of years ago.  His derm. put him on Acutane, which has some serious side effects but with monitoring by his derm. helped clear up his acne.  Since then he has tried creams that the derm. prescribed to help maintain and smooth his skin, but we have found something that helps maintain better.  I have him wash his face in a cleanser call Zap-it and he takes a vitamin called Pro-Vex everyday that helps repair your collagen.  If you want more info on this, you can email me.

Acne is just a pain in the but. I didn't see this episode.  We don't have TV, I get to watch the show when I'm working, and sometimes  can't even then because I get busy.  But I have Acne and I'm 21.  I was always taught that my body is my body...course i didnt' know a damn thing about sex until I actually had sex either...  I just wash my face good and live with it.  We don't have the money for a derm, when we get some extra money i want to try the new neutrogena stuff they advertise on TV that personalizes it, i think it might work for me.  I dont' remember what it's called. but i know it's expensive.  Another thing, birth control helps acne? it always made mine worse.

I have always had bad acne and I am 28! I have tried a few things. sencaclear was a joke! But i love love love proactive! I have used it a few times. I say it is worth the price to have clear skin. It is the only thing that works for me! I would highly suggest it!

I am so sick of my acne- I have two kids no time or money and I feel so gross all the time- I hate wearing make up it breaks me out even worse and I dont have the time to crub my face three times a day with twenty million products- I don't get it i dont eat bad foods or drink lots of pop but its always there! any solutions?

I have always had acne and now numerous scars to show for it. I had a doctor once tell me it was because of hormones. I asked her was I still in puberty then? She said at 38 I wasn't.  Now I am 51 and still have acne, guess she would say it was because of hormones again. I saw the show when they did the Isolaz procedure. But I can't see doing that as no one is close enough to offer it and I am sure hte price is astronomical. I have wondered about the Proactive product and just how well it really does work. But like someone else said I don't have time or the ability to wash my face 3 times a day. If I did I would just use Dial bar soap as it is the onlty thing that half-way clears my face up.

The one thing I have found to work [again, for me] is something called Nature's Cure. There's pills and a cream for your face; the cream has never dried out my skin as everything ese did and it's only about 8 bucks for a two month supply!

As far as the scrubing your face three times a day it will just dry out your skin and do more damage than good - for the acne, the scarring, and your complextion. Each person's "cure" is going to differ.... You have to try out different remedies and see what works for you.

for the people who got acne on their face. wht wud i like to say is that if u have acne on ur face then dont make other person feel that u have acne. they wont know untill u say it. by saying that u have acne on ur face......it means that ur dragging his/hr attention to ur acne... just dont feel shy and stay as if ur not having problem with ur acne......stay cool.

Be Careful of what u are using as u wash Ur face, Body and hair, DO NOT use anything that has ........               ( sodium laureth sulfate ),

it is Horrible for Ur skin & scalp!  This is an ingredient they use at the car washes to wash Ur car with, it is what makes the BUBBLES that we all love so much..........However pretty the bubbles are....the bubbles are not as good for Ur skin ! This ingredient can cause Folliculitis which is a skin condition u DO NOT  want!
