HOT MAMMA HIDING IN FAT SUIT!!!

Hi, my name is Heather Taylor.  I am a wife and a mother of 2 adorable boys, a 4 year old and a 4 week old.  I was already overweight when I got pregnant and I gained an additional 50 pounds.  I have lost 30 of that, but have approx. 80 to go before I will be at my ideal weight and be happy with myself again.  I am taking the 17 Day Challenge because I am very concerned with my heart health.  My mother died 10 years ago at the ripe young age of 59 from high blood pressure issues.  I, myself, have had some trouble with that and I am only 35.  I miss my mother and I would love to be around to see my grandchildren and great grandchildren!  I am a hot and healthy momma hiding in a fat suit!!!!  :)  HELP!!!!  *praying motivation stays with me and chocolate leaves forever*

You can do it! I am super excited about starting this challenge. I need to drop 30lbs and my husband needs to drop 20lbs. His cholest. is 300 and that is very scary. We are hoping this will help us make a life style change. I have tried weight watchers many times and nothing has seemed to work for me... Good luck to you and to me!

Hot Mamma...I also have two children and put on too much weight during pregnancies, I am also in my 30's and I currently have high blood pressure (I think it's my kids :-D). I have read the book and talked with my doctor. He agrees that this is the best diet and excercise program. He says that anything that gets me moving more and eating less will help. I love how the book has a plan of exactly what to eat. I have been feeding my kids and husband the exact foods from the book and they love it. At first, the kids wanted their Cinnimon Toast Crunch cereal, but now they ASK for yogurt or a hand ful of grapes. I have thrown out the cereal and flavored oatmeal. They now love the plain oatmeal because they can mix their own blueberries in it or strawberries or both. It has been an amazing transformation for my whole family.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Heather I know exactly what you mean.  I'm in my 40yrs and I've been struggling with my weight for the past 10 years atleast.  I can't say it's totally because of my children, but the pregnancies did have a bit of a toll on my body since I was overweight when I got pregnant.  I would have to say that since I started working in an office type enviroment with high stress, my body and weight suffered.  I lost my father last year who was overweight and suffered with diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease.  At this point I have high blood pressure...and I don't want to add any other health issues to the list so I definitely need to make changes not only for myself, but for my family.  I'm usually overwhelmingly busy, but would love to offer motivation in return for motivation!  Go Hot Mamma!!! You can do it :-)

Wow!!!  I think we ALL have wonderful reasons to lose our weight and get healthy and they sound pretty motivational!!  I hope we can all help each other to stay that way!  I went to the store today and got the food and I am starting tomorrow even though UPS says my book/dvd will be here Monday evening.  I figure I will lose a couple pounds by then at least and I should go ahead and get started.  I got the list of food from one of the people who have posted it in the forums.  I am so excited!  My long term goal is 80 pounds by 4th of July and my short term goal is 40 by Valentines, which I think is achievable with there being 2-17 day cycles between now and then!  I can't wait!  Hot Mamma here I come!!!!

I can very much relate to your story Heather! I am 36 and mother of two boys. My boys are 8 & 4. I need to lose about 70 pounds. I lost a lot of weight after my first child but regained all of it and then some with my second pregnancy. My Mother died @ age 55 of massive heart attack. She did not have a weight problem, she was quite thin actually. She was my Best Friend and I miss her dearly! She passed away 4 years ago. When I lost my weight 6+ years ago, she was so proud of me. I would call her every Friday morning when I left Weight Watchers to let her know my new weight! I know that being overweight and having the family history of heart problems from both my Mother and Father, I'm destined to have the same. Let's do this together; you, me and the rest of these people on the blog!!! Good Luck!
