I weighed myself this morning after completing my first week on the 17 Day Diet and lost 6 lbs. I can't believe it. I know some of it was definitely bloat because the same day I started it was the same day something ELSE started and I was as puffy as a marshmellow. :/
I have to confess the second day on the diet I cheated horribly. One of my clients brought me some ginger cookies from England. Well, I couldn't hurt her feelings and not eat some, right? And since I was craving sugar, they were perfect. Unfortunately, before I knew it, I'd eaten half the little bag dunking them in green tea. She also bought me a bottle of wine, and I had some of that too. Figured if I am gonna cheat, get it all out of the way on the same day.
Just think how much I might have lost if I hadn't cheated. Oh well. This week will be better.
Did four great weight-training workouts last week, and walked 3 evenings. Will be going out to walk for my second 30 minute walk after dinner today.
All in all, quite satisfied with my progress. I can't say that I've been starving either. Last night I had baked red snapper and a hot pepper cabbage & carrot dish I created. I think I'll post the recipe and a photo on another blog post.

I found the cravings get easier as you go. 6lbs. in a week is great weight loss. Good Luck
Its my Third day on the 17 day diet and I am starving , what to do?? Iam still trying to figure this all out. What a week I picked to start, cause somthing else started also..
@Ajkolby - Remember, you can eat as much as you want of the cleansing vegetables and lean protein. If you need to eat another meal (I do!), try a lettuce wrap. I took three bibb lettuce leaves and put two strips of red bell pepper on each one, some sliced grilled chicken breast, some shredded carrots and spinkled with chopped tomatoes. Blended together nonfat greek yoghurt with some fresh basil, one of my hot peppers, a bit of red onion and 1 clove of garlic until it was smooth and I put maybe a tablespoon of that on top. Rolled them up and ate them. It was great! Held me until dinner.
man you lettuce wrap sauce sounds YUMMY!! I hope you will share more of your ideas on the recipe boards!
Just checking in with you how are you doing this week?
I can hardly wait for my first week to be done! I am starting my frist day and no green tea in the house so I am hoping my black Earl will do the same thing. I will promise myself that I can do anything for 17 days with no cheats! You have just inspired me!
