I just got back from a wonderful trip to Paris.

The city was full of excitement about the Tour de France, which they also called the Tour de Force. One of the wonderful things to watch, besides the great bodies on the bike riders, is the dedication of the cyclists and knowing how hard they have trained to get into such great physical condition.
Lance Armstrong is such an inspiration to all of us because he has overcome some great health obstacles and doesn't let age keep him from pursuing his passion and dreams. I really wanted to interview him for the show, but the end of the race was hectic with reporters.

I also had a very touching encounter with a young woman from Saudi Arabia. She said she’s a big fan of the show and of me, and that she wanted to be just like me. Her family was also very excited to meet me, and I took some photos with them at the hotel. I only wish that I had taken one with her for myself.
I was extremely touched by this woman because one of the messages that I want to flow throughout the show is that women should pursue their dreams and believe in themselves. I had some great role models in my life, and I feel that they are directly responsible for me achieving all of my dreams. One of my mottos for myself is, “Make your dream a reality. A healthy life is living to your full potential, not only physically, but mentally and emotionally.”
Finally, the French were very helpful with my dependence on diet cola. Their disapproval of such an unhealthy drink helped me to substitute it for more healthy drinks and foods. So along with all the good food and lots of walking and sleeping (don't be afraid to sleep on vacation), I returned in better shape -- thinner and much more rested.

Here’s to living well,
Dr. Lisa Masterson

THATS WONDERFUL!:) a trip to paris is just wonderful!
So Dr. Lisa,
You are a drinker of Diet Pepsi? I found I had a very bad problem when I went to Europe. They drink Coke, and even then it is so very expensive, and tastes so old that those of us that were hooked on the stuff suffered greatly there. After 51 years I have had to give it up. Yeah!.
It must have felt wonderful to you to know that your show is influenceing young woman in Saudi Arabia. I understand what you mean about living a life free of barriers. It is wonder to know that we are living our dreams every day. I wake up every morning and pinch myself knowing that my bucket list is almost done and I should still have life left. To know that some woman even in this country don't even start a list. Is a crime and you are starting to bring some of those woman out of the closets. Keep up the work. Things will change, SOMEDAY!
When it comes to Lance, isn't funny how it some how takes an illness to get people moving. Not taking anything away from Lance. But you see that so many times , a guy that has been sitting in a bar, pounding back the beers, smoking two packs a day, and the last walk he took was when the 150 pound family dog dragged him from the car to the back yard. Then he has a heart attack!!! Three weeks later you see the same guy in a running suit, on his way to the gym. Six months later he is sixty pounds lighter and working on his abs. To bad it took that heart attack to do it. And Ilm in the same boat. I just had a breathing event. A week in the hospital, I quit smoking, drinking pepsi, and I am hoping to work off a bunch of menapausal weight. To bad it took a problem to get me motivated
