Going on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is an honor, a treat and a heck of a lot of fun!  I am genuinely a fan of his. I watch the show/ Tivo it regularly. I love his frank humor. Just like our show, he is genuine and nothing is off limits. He makes you feel comfortable and you can really have fun.

I worry more about what I am going to wear on his show because I don't have to wear a lab coat -- and I love that!  I wear so many nice outfits on our show but no one gets to see them because of my jacket. I also brought my son to the taping, which was very special. I am trying to get every minute that I can with him (without cramping his style, of course) before he goes off to college this fall. I know it will be extremely traumatic for me, as all my friends know.

Also, it is so great being on a show where I also know the host. Craig and his wife, Megan, have been amazing supporters of my charity, Maternal Fetal Care International (MFCI). They recently sponsored a very special MFCI event to raise funds and awareness for the charity.

We had a lot of celebrities, like Angela Basset and Marianne Jean Baptist, in a very intimate setting for a WordTheatre based on motherhood. Craig's sister, Lynn Ferguson, read an amazing personal story. It was a very special and extremely moving once-in-a-lifetime event.

The funds make it possible for us to keep mothers from dying from pregnancy-related causes in poor countries like Africa and India, where a mother dies every minute. We are currently trying to expand our labor clinic in Kenya and India and supporting the first OB/GYN residency program in Africa.
