I'm a 55 year old woman in seattle, I've been a vegetarian for almost 20 years to eliminate a bad case of IBS.  The symptoms of IBS disappeared about 10 years ago.  I'm active (ski, hike, bike)and healthy and take only vitamin supplements and no medications of any kind.  I rarely drink alcohol having lost my significant other to his 40 year addiction to alcohol this last summer.  As I also lost my father and mother in 2003 and 2006 I have struggles with depression and try to have a positive outlook instead of relying on medications I believe will only make matters worse.  I have two children, my son was diagnosed with a neuroblastoma brain tumor that turned out to be cancerous in 1989, unfortunately he suffered a stroke on the operating table to remove it and has been disabled ever since.  My daughter struggles with obesity and now diabetes at age 28.  If I would need any help from you it would be for my beloved daughter who I now watch kill herself with food, similar to watching my significant other kill himself with alcohol.  On this point I don't know what to do.  Additionally, in 2006 I quit a job with an unethical offshore insurance company, since then I have had struggles with employment, only finding temporary employment since 2006.
