Since The Doctors aired a show on Frizz Ending Products, I felt the need to share my pesonal experience with other viewers. The Doctors stars don't have long flowing hair that needs daily attention the way that most women do. Yes, Lisa is a female, and by her own admission she has extensions/weave in her hair. To add to that, the Doctors on this show have a hair stylist that works on their hair before the show tapes. If everyone watching had a stylist that did that for them, the need for any product would be a moot point. But alas, most of us viewers live in a real world without hair stylists at our beck and call or even a regular disposal based on financial situation. If we all made over $250,000 a year and were all debt free, then the twice a week hairdresser visit would be possible. But given that is only a fantasy, I wanted to share some cost effective methods that are proven to work for keeping hair smooth, silky, flowing and soft.
Living Proof did NOT WORK at all for me!
To start with, I purchased the entire line at Sephora as instructed by the Living Proof Company for my hair and spent upward to $300 with sales tax.
Products I purchased based on the suggestion of the Living Proof Representative to get the best results for my hair type.
Shampoo $24
Conditioner $24
No Frizz Restyling Spray $24
Straight Making No Frizz Styling Spray for Medium to Thick Hair $35
Full Thickening Cream $24
Straight Making No Frizz Styling Cream for Medium to Thick Hair $35
Wave Shaping, Curl Defining No Frizz Styling Cream for Medium to Thick Hair $35
Hold Flexible Hairspray $24products can be purchased at most local drug store chains or online.
What a waste of money.
I’m not new to cosmetic products or frizz ending products. I blog (under another name) and my email database is about 480,000 emails that subscribe to that blog. A large majority of those that read my blog had the same experience I did with Living Proof. It leaves hair glumpy, gooey, and thick. Living Proof never responded to any of my questions AFTER I purchased the product and complained. I will insert here, that I received TONS of emails telling me what to purchase and how to use it BEFORE I invested my money; they are very nice then. It was as if Living Proof took Butch Wax and repackaged it. It is that sticky and gooey.
I would recommend the following for sexy, flowing, straight and shiny hair. All three of these
1. John Frieda’s Frizz Ease and Secret Weapon read more at JohnFrieda.com
2. Organix Vanilla Silk’s Soft & Silky Vanilla Silk-Silk Serum and other products
2. Got2B products. The got2b Smooth Operator Smoothing Satin Drops
are good. Got2B is a Division of Schwartzkroft which is an excellent company for hair products.
FULL DISCLOSURE: I do not get paid for my reviews of any cosmetic product and that makes my reviews ethical. I purchase my products out of my own pocket to review based on the suggestions of the representatives for each company just like every other consumer.
