I am a recently retired Surgical Intensive Care RN, an avid scrapbooker and world traveler!  I am looking for a volunteer project that will utilize my unique talents and interests. Today, June 3, 2009, I watched the episode on The Doctors where Dr. Lisa talked about her volunteer work in Africa and my curiosity is peeked.  What can I do to become part of her next expedition? I have a current passport, probably need shots and visas for travel to that part of the world but am willing to do whatever it takes to make this possible.  I would willingly go as a lay volunteer or as a nurse which ever is possible!  I love kids and babies and spent the first two years of my nursing career as a "perinatal nurse" at Sanford University Hospital.
