I have gained back all my weight. There were many factors that lead to the gain, but I don't want to beat myself up about it! I didn't go "off" the diet because I don't like it or I don't think I can do it. Life just sorta got in the way. However, I am excited that now that I'm back on the diet, the weight will come back off. That's a HUGE plus. AND I actually like the diet. It made me feel great. Having more energy is just the tip of the iceberg - my clothes started to fit much better, I slept like a rock, and I didn't get tired during the day.
So, the bottom line is - I gained the weight back (5 days), but I'm back on the diet. I am determined to be a success story!

Hi, I would like to know how you gained weight. I was at 135# when my husband died and I was healthy! Now I barely weigh 100 and really need to put on 20 or 25# to look and feel better. Can you hel me??? Please???
I am deeply sorry for your loss. I would say that this particular community, the message boards about the 17 day diet and the blogs, are geared towards losing weight, NOT gaining it. Since I gained back the 6 pounds I lost originally, I am back on the 17 day diet to lose them again. If you're looking to GAIN weight, then the only advice I can give is to see your doctor. He/she can give you healthy ways to gain weight - instead of overeating or eating too much "junk".
