I am a 27 year old, single mother. I am a licensed Master Cosmetologist and Co-ower os a salon located in my home town of Augusta Ga.  I have been a stylist for over 7 years and absolutly love what I do! My life changed after I found out that I was pregnant with my daughter, Aubree.  When Aubree was 5 weeks old I returned to school, recieved my associates degree in a year and just finished my undergrad this past Oct.  My Aubree will be 3 years in Feb 2012 and I am so proud of my self, and I plan to continue on to grad school in the fall of 2012.  I was so dissapointed with myself when I found out that I was pregnant, esp being that I was not yet married.  I was soooo determined not to be another statistic, anothe young, black, uneducated, single female forced to bepend on "the system'> I had to make sure that I had an education and had something to fallback on.  My carere was great, but anyhting could happen and needed a plan and a better education, not only for myself, but for my daughter as well.
