I lost 125 pounds in 2 years.
At first, I lost a lot of weight; 105 pounds in 8 months ! I was extremly excited to see that weight come off so fast, but I had many exercise plateaus.
I would stay stuck at specific weights; 190 to 200, 185 to 190, 180 to 185...and so on like that. I am stuck right now at 150 to 155. I would stay at these 10 to 5 pound ranges for 2 months, and yes, I did get discouraged but I did research on the internet and found a lot of information on weight loss plateaus.
I started eating huge salads; leafy green lettuce piled with cucumber, bell peppers, salad peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, chicken or tuna and mustard as a dressing. I was a big girl and I loved to eat, so I wanted to see a big portion of food, and I just made a big portion of healthy salad.
I also had homemade, whole wheat muffins, coffee black, oatmeal, vegetables and fruits. At first, I still had soda and candy on the weekends, but now I have a piece of hard candy when I want that candy fix.
I drink 1 gallon of water per day, have a homemade egg muffin for breakfast, oatmeal with honey and Soy Protien Powder for lunch, black beans with turkey bacon + cheese and hot sauce, fruit like oranges and apples for snacks. I eat baked, seasoned chicken with boiled vegetalbes and baked potato pieces for dinner.
