Pain

I need to see if anyone would happen to know what could be going on. Recently I have been having pain in the back part of my leg right behind knee or little above. Like shooting pain and then it seems that I will have the pain go down below my knee in my calf. Also every now and then I will just get shooting pain here and there. Like in my inside of my arm or on my ankle or even like behind my eyes on the side of my head. ANY help would be grateful.

I can't think of anything, except maybe have you tried a chiropractor?

i don't know what it could be but my heart does go out to you because i know what it is to feel chronic pain, have you went to the dr. i was going to mention about a bakers cyst but that wouldn't affect your eyes or other places. keep us posted if u find out what it is.

you may want to see a docter and get a mri of your back.

I had some of the same problems and needed back sugery due to a compressed nerve at the L4-L5 disk level.

I had shooting pian down my legs but it was on both sides due to the slip on both sides.

I would try that for your shooting leg pain.

AceQueen - Any other symptoms by chance that you haven't mentioned?  Running into things? tripping over nothing? Cognitive issues?  etc...

I'm not trying to scare you or anything - however...I too used to have sharp shooting pains down my legs - I used to describe them as like lightening strikes up and down my legs, sometimes in my arms, etc... Would have such pressure behind my eyes which would then cause headaches.  At first I was told it was all in my head - after alot of testing - blood tests (they check your CD T-Cells, immune system, etc...) MRI of the brain - finally- showed that I had Multiple Sclerosis.  I was diagnosed in 2003 and based on my lesions, they could tell that I had it since around 1998.

No...it isn't the end of the world - it's just the beginning of a new one.  Please keep me posted and let me know how things go.  Feel free to contact me at anytime.

I haven't specifically seen a doctor for these issues, I just had a complete blood work done and was told cholestral levels and everything else was all good standings. I do however have not mentioned that I have a harrington Rod in my back from the top T1 all the way down to the bottom L4. I had scoliosis when I was 15 and have had the rod in ever since. I am not waundering if it doesn't have something to do with my back because this is happening since I just recently had my baby 3 months ago, and I was told along time ago not to have any more children because of my back, which was about 4 kids ago..lol.

Get your vitamin D tested. I had shooting pains all over, which was just one of many symptoms. I had a vit D deficiency.  See my profile for what to do if you are deficient. If you have any questions, please let me know.
