About Me
I have lived most of my life in the city however recently I moved to the country. It is a transformation that began a few years ago. I was going thru life trying to do as much as possible every day and missing out on alot of life, I just didnt know it. Then i realized the true meaning of a old saying, Its not about how fast you get there it is about the ride along the way. And I now know this about life. Its not about how much you accomplish trying to go through life its about enjoying it along the way. I believe that you have to make the most of every moment. But making sure you live in the moment. Accepting what you have in life not constantly looking at others saying why can that not be me. Its about your family and friends and trying to give back when you can. Its about living life!

It is nice to know that I am not alone with the fibro. It started with pain here and there then progressively got worse. It has gotten to the point where i can't keep down a job. do you have any suggestions on how to ease the pain without taking any more meds. Lord knows i already take enough.
hi a shelby
thanks for writing to me im so glad lyrica works for cause i have heard those it works for it really dose help, i think im a bit of a nhs guinea pig as im in the uk i have had various treatments and drugs and they seem to do the opposite they should on me i have prob built up a immunity to them or something i was on gabapentin before lyrica that gave me mood swings like your broher its the same family as the lyrica but lyrica is a cleaner drug they always to put me back on morphine well they fail wich isnt a great one either to be on . i tried not so long ago the alternative methods accupunture hpynosis and massage only massage seem to help me relax a bit but wasnta pain stop the hy[no therapist gave me the giggles i have a crazy sense of humour and i guess i though u lie ona caouch was only on tv so it didnt have great start .
i hope lyrica keeps working for you and keeps you pain free

I had physical therapy for 6 weeks after the neurosurgeon said he was AFRAID to do surgery. I used the theraband for awhile and then it got misplaced while we were doing some remodeling. Maybe I should go back to using it!!!
We discovered this "winter" after closing our pool it has a leak........and we thought it was just a hot summer drying up the water.....so we had to drain it, in between freezing nights. It still has some left, but we have to dry it out before putting in a new liner this next summer. I tried to stay in it as much as possible this year but it seems my arthritis won't let me do what I did when I was 20.!!! :)
I hope your family here in Texas has better weather than we are in my part of Texas....I'm tired of 29 degree nights! I love summer, not winter.
I heard a great saying today. It said, Is it the person who creates the journey or the journey the creates the person. I thought good one!
I definately believe in karma too. Thank you for your comments. Hearing from others and know there are others outside your family that know what a day in the life of fibromyalgia is. I have been taking Lyricia for quite a while now. It does help. I also take muscle relaxers and pain medication. My biggest problem is that I am my own worst enemy. I push myself and that is not good because then I really hurt. In the Winter that don't take to much pushing. I love summer because I do feel I can function a little better. I hope you have a great and pain free day.
Hi...
I just read your post to sloepoke. I know what both are going through as I also have fibromyalgia and arthritis of the neck and spine. All we can do is wait for something to come along that helps. I take alot of ALEVE!
I really believe in karma. I believe what you put forth is what is returned to you in plenty. I believe if you are good to the world. The world is good to you. And the more you make your mind work the more it can work. One time I read the book "Secrets" and I thought it was so true. You bring your life to you. THe life you truely want. Good suggested reading. Have a great day everyone!
