Terminal Dx

If a patient is given a terminal diagnosis with absolutley no chance to survive, can not speak for themselves any longer, and didn't make their wishes known, but the family wants everything done anyway....dialyis, ventilator, everything, knowing it is not going to help the patient recover, should the family be made to pay instead of the insurance company or medicare?

Yes, the family should have to pay for it all.  Medicare gets screwed enough.

Great question..... ummmm don't have an answer.... well yes I do, when do I not.  But I have a few questions :-)  First, regarding being a patient... write your wishes BEFORE you get ill, second is it selfish of the family to prolong the agony of the patient? Third, ..... I lost my train of thought... answer:  YES the family should be made to pay. IMO
